Another new restaurant is coming to Benton, LA and folks are getting excited, but what ever will it serve? Mexican?

The one thing I can tell you about the new restaurant that's going in just down the road from the new Monjuni's Italian Restaurant in Benton is that it's NOT a Mexican restaurant. As for what it will be serving when it opens, the owners say not to speculate. However, I have to say that I've heard that it will be a sandwich shop. Time will tell...

No matter what they ultimately end up serving foodwise, I can tell you this. The property looks so much better now that they've given it some TLC. You know there's another location on Benton Road that's getting some attention, too and that's the old Hayride Kitchen, but I digress. Here's what Benton's latest restaurateurs (whose last names aren't Alvis)  have posted regarding the eatery.

Honestly, I don't care what they put in there, they've taken an eyesore and made it cute again and for that alone, I wish the folks behind this endeavor nothing but success. But, if you could make it something I can eat with one hand while driving the rest of the way out to Holly Hill Farm on Old Plain Dealing Road to go ride my horse, that would be great!
