Olympic Volleyball Qualifier Tournament This Weekend in Bossier

Shreveport/Bossier gets a LOT of cool stuff. Over the years, we've all kinds of major sporting events, concerts, etc.. But this may be the coolest thing to come to town in a while.

A volleyball tournament at the CenturyLink Center this weekend will determine one of the teams who will be playing in the 2020 Olympics. This is one of only six qualifying events in the world and it is the first one to ever be held in the United States.

The global event will be televised on NBC Sports. The three day tournament is expected to have a 1.2 million dollar economic impact on our area. So, to put it mildly, this is a big, big deal!
