Petition Started to Cancel Classes at LSU for National Championship Game
A new online petition called “Cancel School for the National Championship” is looking to convince LSU's administration to give students Monday and Tuesday off.
The goal of the “Cancel School for the National Championship” petition is to get 1,500 signatures and currently has almost 2,000.
The first day of LSU's Spring Semester starts Monday, January 13th.
With the National Championship being played only an hour away in New Orleans, many LSU students have the chance of a lifetime to take the short trip to support their school.
From the petition at change.org -
"The student body has brought a 'roar' to every game this year to pump up the team and lead them to a successful season. For this reason, Louisiana State University should cancel school on Monday, January 13th, and Tuesday, January 14th, in order to better cheer on the tiger's victory in New Orleans."
