Pumpkin Shine on Line is one of the most popular and one of the most beautiful things about fall in our community. Last year we all struggled with the fact that it was basically canceled. Normally Pumpkin Shine on Line goes down at Betty Virginia Park however last year, due to COVID-19 restrictions it was held at Southfield School. Pumpkin Shine was only open to students from that school and the parents and faculty. Boo! Right?

Luckily for all of us that are big fans of the magic that Pumpkin Shine on Line brings to our community, we can experience the magic again.

The trails around Shreveport’s Betty Virginia Park will transform on October 19th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Instead of the traditional trails you are used to enjoying, get ready to see the glow of nearly 1,000 jack-o-lanterns and painted pumpkin displays.

Who's responsible for the spooky pumpkins?

A little bit of everyone in our community, local schools, churches, non-profit organizations, and businesses all jump into creating marvelous art pieces using pumpkins. There will be entertainment from school bands, choirs, and cheerleaders.

What if you show up hungry?

There will also be local food trucks available to make sure you have some delicious food as you walk through the glowing trails.

You may bump into several community leaders while you are there.

Leaders have been asked to judge the entries. It's a serious job, there are cash prizes on the line for art programs with the best jack-o-lantern entries.

Pumpkin Shine on Line is free and you can take a shuttle to get to the park.

Just park at Mall St. Vincent (Dillard’s lot) and ride the free shuttle to the park entrance. The shuttle will run from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
