Scientists Have Created Edible Plastic Wraps [VIDEO]

I'm just so happy to report that science is spending time focusing on things that are actually beneficial to us! Looks like some smarties have created plastic that is not only biodegradable, but also EDIBLE!

That's wright, unwrap your food and dig in, if you're still hungry when the food is gone, indulge in the plastic baby!

It's made by combining something called citrus pectin with a protein in milk called casein.  So they're calling it "casein biofilm." It's not clear how long it'll be before companies start using it.  But they're also working on a SPRAY version they could use to coat food with to keep it fresh.
