
Shreveport Felon Arrested in Possession of a Stolen Firearm
On April 9th, 2023, Shreveport Police Narcotics Agents conducted an investigation in the 3900 block of Liaison Drive in reference to narcotics and violent crime complaints. Officers contacted John Morgan (7-28-02) who was reportedly found to be in possession of a stolen firearm.
Further investigation into the matter revealed that Morgan was prohibited from possessing a firearm due to being a convicted felon for prior gun crimes and violent offenses.
The firearm was seized, and Morgan was arrested for one count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and one count of possession of a stolen firearm.
We are required to advise that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
