Shreveport Police Arrest Man With Gun and 50 Pounds of Weed

On April 17th, 2023, Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Abatement Team members and Caddo Sheriffs’ office deputies contacted a search warrant in the 3100 block of Knight Street. During this investigation, Montrey McNeil (12-10-98) was found to be in possession of a firearm and over fifty pounds of Marijuana.

Further investigation into the matter revealed that the firearm had been altered to be fully automatic. It was also found that McNeil was prohibited from possessing a firearm due to being a convicted felon for prior violent offenses.

The firearm was seized by the agents and McNeil was arrested and will be charged with one count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, one count of possession of Schedule One with intent to distribute, one count of possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, and one count of possession of a Machine Gun.

We are required to advise that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
