Prize Fest: The Can't-Miss Festival for All Art Lovers in Shreveport
Prize Fest is a creative competition and festival that takes over Shreveport, Louisiana, featuring film, food, music, and comedy with huge cash prizes and other awards.
This Thursday, a Prize Fest tradition returns with the Louisiana Film Prize Top 20 Announcement at the historic Noble Savage. According to the Prize Fest team, this year’s group of filmmakers represents "the most talented and competitive group of filmmakers we’ve ever seen!" It's a fantastic chance for the community to get a sneak peek at the 20 short films that will be competing for the world’s largest cash prize for a short film at the main festival this fall.
The announcement event is a special night for both filmmakers and film fans alike. It’s happening this Thursday, August 7th, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at The Noble Savage (417 Texas St, Shreveport, LA). Best of all, this event is free and open to the public—so everyone is invited to join the celebration as we find out which films made the cut.
Mark your calendars, because this is just the beginning of a jam-packed festival season. Other important dates to save include:
August 13th: PrizeCast returns for more festival content and behind-the-scenes interviews.
October 15th - 19th: The grand finale, Prize Fest 2025, where the winning short film will be crowned.
Get ready, Shreveport, the countdown is on, and the Film Prize season is officially underway.
