Shreveport Firefighters Take the Heat and Go Pink For Breast Cancer Awareness
For the third year, the Shreveport Fire Department will once again "Go Pink" to raise awareness about breast cancer.
Breast Cancer has personally impacted a couple of Shreveport firefighters who, both lost their mothers to this devastating disease.
Because of that impact, Shreveport Firefighters will "Take The Heat" and "Go Pink" the week of October 11-19. They're also selling the same Pink Shirts they'll be wearing to the public with all proceeds going to the Northwest Susan G. Komen Affiliate.
Last year this fundraising project raised $10,000 - benefiting our community tremendously!
Organizers would like to exceed that effort by challenging the community to Go Pink and purchase a shirt from the Shreveport Firefighters in honor of a family member or friend that has been impacted by this devastating disease!
