Shreveport Unlocks Transparency: You Can See Live Updates on City Projects
In the Shreveport-Bossier City area, we've dealt with years of an I-20 reconstruction project, and it's made life a headache for everyone. Shreveport residents now have a way to stay ahead of the game on public projects in the city, as the city is entering a new era of transparency with a new website that tracks the status of over 160 current projects.
What You'll Find on the Shreveport Capital Projects Dashboard
The Capital Projects website, capitalprojects.shreveportla.gov, was announced by Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux as a way for the public to see exactly where their tax dollars are going. The webpage contains a map of all the current projects underway in the city, including anything from park improvements, police station upgrades, water system maintenance, city street work, sewer work, and drainage improvements.
Projects being tracked include details about where the funding for the project came from, how much money has been allocated, the estimated cost, actual cost, estimated start + end dates, and the actual start + end dates.
Real-Time Updates for a Better Shreveport
The Capital Projects website is already a useful resource for residents in Shreveport. Mayor Arceneaux has been on a journey to clean up Shreveport with his block-by-block initiative, and creating a clear and direct way for residents to see how their city is being improved.

One of the greatest uses of the Capital Projects website will be finding updates on city street construction. Street construction is always a headache, especially if it means your daily route is going to change. Thanks to the Capital Projects map, residents will have all the info on how long the construction should last.
