How Does Shreveport Rank When it Comes to New Years Resolutions?
It's a new year and a new you, right? How does Shreveport rank as a community when it comes to keeping its resolutions? Sadly, not very well. Unfortunately, there's research to back that up from Wallethub.com.
According to a study from Wallethub.com, Shreveport, Louisiana is the third worst city in the country when it comes to keeping new year's resolutions in 2022.
According to Wallethub.com's 2022's Best and Worst Cities for Keeping New Years Resolutions, Shreveport ranks 180th out of 182 cities for the second year in a row when it comes to keeping our new year's resolutions. Other Louisiana cities like New Orleans didn't do much better. NOLA came in 146th place and Baton Rouge was 179th.
Shreveport, LA ranked 2nd to last when it came to relationship types of resolutions in 2022 according to Wallethub.com
Wallethub.com's survey also found Shreveport lacking in other areas. We ranked 177th out of 182 for health resolutions, 176th for financial resolutions, 162nd for school and work resolutions, and 156th for resolutions regarding bad habits.
Wallethub.com compared cities based on five dimensions and 57 related metrics.
The metrics WalletHub.com used to determine these figures were based on the percentage of obese adults, exercise, medium income, medium credit score, above average schools, unemployment rate, amount of binge drinking, smoking, restaurants per capita, parkland per capita, etc.
Admittedly, I think it would be harder to get in shape the lower your income. Healthy food costs more than Doritos and personal training to keep you accountable and the requisite gym membership isn't cheap. Hiring a financial advisor isn't free either. Neither is a marriage counselor or dating service or continuing education, etc... Sure, packing your lunch and walking in a park for exercise are options, but who wants to do that?!?
