You No Longer Have to Drive in the Dark on the Shreveport Parkway

I have been griping about street lights in Shreveport for more than 10 years. Every week I notice more and more lights out. To many leaders, I understand I am probably a pain in the butt because I always email them to let them know about the street light problems.

This month, we have had issues with lights on I-20 in west Shreveport. Most of those lights are back on.

But I got a photo from a friend and listener who was flying on a commercial plane over the Red River and he snapped a photo of the two parkways. In the photo you can see the Bossier Parkway all lit up and the Shreveport Parkway completely dark. I published this photo on Thursday an when I drove home at lunch time, I found some really great news. The lights were being replaced.
