We have all started to fall in love with Lowder's breakfast. I just recently tried their Ham & Gruyere Croissant Sandwich which was nothing short of a beautiful mouth explosion. I never can make it to Lowder's when they announce they are having sandwiches for lunch.

The only reason I have had Lowder's before is because my buddy Hillary is my connect and she always sneaks me a treat before they sell out.

How does the whole breakfast-lunch sandwich ordeal work at Lowder's?

They basically tell you to come and get it until they sell out. So yes, the sandwiches are in high demand and I have yet to try a sandwich from Lowder's Baking Company.

Luckily for many of us, our lunch luck is about to change.

Thanks to a big announcement from one of Shreveport's favorite bakeries we can now be happy knowing that there is a new sandwich shop opening right next to the bakery. The name is Doc's Sandwich Shop and Deli. Although we don't have an exact open date we do know that Doc's will be opening in Fall of 2021.

Doc’s Sandwich Shop & Deli will be located at 4019 Fern Ave, Suite 300, Shreveport, LA 71105 right next door to Lowder Baking Company. The shop will only be open for lunch.

According to Lowder's "Doc’s Sandwich Shop & Deli will use fresh, high-quality ingredients - including fresh-baked Lowder Baking Company bread. Our menu will include sandwiches, salads, soups, boxed lunches, grab and go, and much more."

Lowder's Facebook page went on to explain that they plan to still have all their customer favorites on the menu, but they'll also be showing off some innovative and new takes on different classic sandwiches.

A little fun fact, the bakery is named after the dachshund that runs the Lowder house.
