The Centers for Disease Control has just released a report on sexually transmitted diseases and the news is not good for Louisiana. This data is from 2021 which is the last full year available and the Bayou State is in the top 5 on several of these lists.

The total number of cases has also been released and the nation saw a record high number of Syphilis cases at 176,713, up from 133,954 in 2020.

There have also been 1,644,416 of Chlamydia cases and 710,151 cases of Gonorrhea reported in 2021.
