One Shreveport teen and a Texarkana native are facing off, but not on the football field or anything like that. Our region has two stars, each competing on a major television show, and it's time to see who's bringing home the glory, Shreveport or Texarkana.

The Ark-La-Tex Showdown: Two Local Stars Compete for the Spotlight

On the Louisiana side of the border, Shreveport has 14-year-old Max Chambers making waves on NBC's hit show, The Voice. The teenage sensation blew the judges away with his first song and quickly earned a spot on Team Michael Buble. Max's journey from Shreveport to Broadway has now taken him to a bigger stage than ever, and he's got the city buzzing.

Meanwhile, just across the state line, Texarkana native James Meadows is chasing after a million dollars on a brand new game show from FOX, 99 to Beat. James will face off with 99 other competitors in a series of hilarious challenges, think a toned-down version of Squid Game.
