This New Study Reveals Why Texas is the #1 Most Lustful State
I have no idea how this happened, but Texas has surpassed Louisiana in a very dirty way. A new study from Wallet Hub ranks states on their "sinfulness," and while it isn't surprising that both Texas and Louisiana ranked in the top 10 (at numbers 3 and 6, respectively), one of the more lascivious metrics used to determine where each state lands on the naughty list puts the Lone Star State at #1.
The study judges each state based on 47 key indicators of "immoral or illicit behavior" They are then given scores on how much of each one indulges in: Anger & hatred, jealousy, excesses & vices, greed, lust, vanity, and laziness. While it may not surprise you that Louisiana came in #1 in the excesses & vices department because of our access to casinos and gambling, it may shock you to know what sin Texas is #1 in: Lust.
How did Texas land the dubious distinction of the most lustful state in the entire nation? Wallet Hub turned to the publicly accessible data from U.S. Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and several other government agencies to look at these key metrics:
- Teen Birth Rate (15 to 19-years old)
- Google Search Interest Index for “XXX Entertainment”
- Average Time Spent on Adult Entertainment Sites
- Persons Arrested for Prostitution and Commercialized Vice per Capita
