The Government Asked to Have Access To Your Data, Apple Said NO

This is why I love Apple and think they are an incredible company. Basically, the government has asked Apple to remove security features from your iPhone that will allow it (and your data) to be a little more accessible.

As an iPhone user, I heard the news and had my fingers crossed that Apple wouldn't give in to these shenanigans.

Sure enough, the company held strong and has our back baby!

They released a lengthy letter to their users today which basically told the government to beat it! Here's a paragraph from Apple's letter:

"The government is asking Apple to hack our own users and undermine decades of security advancements that protect our customers — including tens of millions of American citizens — from sophisticated hackers and cybercriminals. The same engineers who built strong encryption into the iPhone to protect our users would, ironically, be ordered to weaken those protections and make our users less safe."

The entire letter is actually a great read and makes me feel amazing for choosing Apple products.
