I am a huge fan of repurposing buildings, especially when it comes to downtown.  That's why I love what has happened to the former bus terminal located at 409 Crockett Street in downtown Shreveport.  If you've lived here for any amount of time, maybe you have noticed that there haven't been any buses there in a while.  It was replaced by a new bus terminal in 2017, and sat unused until a very special couple discovered a new purpose for this beautiful building.

According to the ArkLaTex Homepage, this architectural masterpiece is now called "The Lot Downtown Shreveport," and it's all due to the imagination and hard work of Edgar and Deshea Guzman.  The couple have reportedly transformed this former transportation hub into an incredible event center and have already hosting parties!

I have been a wedding/event DJ for many years, and have seen some pretty incredible venues.  By far, the best have been locations that used to be something else.  Former plantations, cotton gins, even old breweries - they all have that "timeless" quality that make the events and the photos so memorable.  This place is giving me the same vibes.

If you to find out more, the Lot Downtown Shreveport's Facebook page seems to be the best bet.
