Mudbugs Return with Daddy-Daughter Date Night This Weekend

The last time we saw our boys in town, they put up two shut-outs in back-to-back nights.

Despite a slow start on the road this season, the Mudbugs returned home during the first weekend of December and did something I'm not sure has ever happened before. Both Friday night and Saturday night, with the same goalie, the Mudbugs allowed a combined score-count of exactly zero. Maybe it has happened once or twice, but for the life of me, I can't remember the last time the 'Bugs put up a shut-out in both games of a home weekend with the same goalie. The following weekend, they won both nights on the road, so the boys are on a nice win-streak heading into their return to Shreveport this week.

Now, things will be a little bit different this week as the Mudbugs will not play Saturday night. Instead, they'll play home games this week on Thursday night and Friday night. Both games start at 7:11 PM.

For dads out their looking to take their daughter to an awesome event, this is the perfect weekend. Friday night is officially the return of daddy-daughter date night with the Shreveport Mudbugs. Real-life princesses will be in attendance to help make the night special, and the Mudbugs are offering a killer deal for dads and daughters looking to get in on the action. They have a package for Friday night that includes two game tickets, two pre-game skate passes, and a tiara, crown, and flower. They offering that package for just $22.

They're also partnering with one of our favorites, Shreveport's own Tre'Davious White, to host a bicycle donation drive. Anyone who donates a new bicycle this weekend will receive four game tickets and be entered to win gear signed by Tre'Davious himself.
