I am certainly no fan of TikTok or 99% of the content found on the platform, but this new challenge has my attention.

I've gone on the record several times to speak my mind about TikTok. I believe most of the content shared on the platform is mind-numbingly bad and cringey, and that's one reason I've instituted a no-TikTok policy for my kids in the Whatley household.

Now, I'm not saying that all content on TikTok is bad or super cringe, but most of it is, in my opinion.

However, one challenge has taken the world by storm, and honestly, I can't get enough of it. Now, before we continue, I'll let you in on what the Shut Up Challenge is all about.

Essentially, a mom secretly films a dad while having a min-argument with their child. During the little spat, the child will tell their mom to shut up. Obviously, the dad who doesn't realize it's a joke or that he's being filmed, always reacts in a hilarious manner. I know I can just imagine my reaction if I ever heard either one of my daughter's tell someone else to shut up.

Now, it should go without saying that I absolutely don't condone kids telling their superiors to shut up. Also, there are parts of this challenge I don't like, where some kids will use an expletive while telling their mom to shut up. I'm not a fan of allowing kids that young to use words like that, and I; definitely not a fan of a parent telling your child to say it.

Having said that, with the exception of those small minority clips where the child cusses at their mom, most other Shut Up challenges are complete gold.

Here's a great compilation of the challenge in action, but I must warn you, some of these dads use NSFW language before realizing they're getting pranked. Enjoy.

Legendary Musicians Who Rocked The Hirsch In Shreveport

Here's a sample of the legendary musical acts who have played Shreveport's Memorial Coliseum over the last 60 years. The Hirsch was basically the homefield for bands like Van Halen and ZZ Top, who regularly put the Hirsch near the top of their tours. For that reason, we're actually not going to feature them on this list, because they were basically "house bands" for Shreveport...and that's NOT a bad thing.
