During the quarantine, people all over the world discovered the show Tiger King which aired on Netflix, and the insanity started.

Social media was abuzz with folks talking about the show, posting hilarious memes about the cast of characters, and chiming in with their thoughts about the conspiracy theories behind the show.

The true-crime documentary was an eight-part series that captured an audience of millions. Seven episodes were released on March 20, 2020, with an eighth episode released on  April 12, 2020.

According to Nielsen ratings, 34.3 million people watched the documentary in the first ten days of its release, proving that Tiger King mania had exploded. The show chronicles the feud between two private zoo owners, one owned by Joe Exotic called the G.W. Zoo while his rival, Carole Baskin, owned Big Cat Rescue.

Well, Discovery ID channel is now getting in the mix, and it's set to air a new one-hour show called The Truth Behind Joe Exotic: The Rick Kirkham Story.

Rick Kirkham is the man behind all the footage from the eight-part original series. He was the TV producer for Joe Exotic TV before their falling out, which was documented in the original show.

Kirkham's tell-all special will air this Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 8:00pm.
