University of Louisiana Launches Program to Help College Dropouts
University of Louisiana System launches a new program to ease the burden of returning to school for college dropouts.
Believe it or not, in the state of Louisiana, one in five adults went to college but never finished the job. Former BPCC chancellor and current President of the University of Louisiana system, Jim Henderson, wants to help those adults get back on track and back in the pursuit of their degree.
The new program, launched by the University of Louisiana system, Compete Louisiana is set to get those who didn't finish back in the classroom and/or online. The program also offers "coaches" to be assigned to students up until graduation, helping them keel the good fight and make it all the way to graduation.
