Have you ever considered a career as a school bus driver? You would only work when the kids are in school. You'd enjoy the same vacations as the kids, the somewhat flexible work hours, and you'd be the first smiling face of influence on lots of kids' lives each day!

If that sounds interesting to you, then the Bossier Parish School Board would love to talk to you!

Bossier Schools are currently in need of more than two dozen bus operators for the upcoming 2021-22 school year.

Applicants for this opportunity must be at least 21 years of age, have a good driving record, be able to pass a background check and drug test and be willing to drive for any school in the parish.

The job does not require a CDL (Commercial Driver’s License). If hired, you will be trained to obtain one. Drivers will begin as substitute operators.

The next School Bus Operator Training Course will be held Monday, June 14 through Thursday, June 17, from 8:30 am until 3:30 pm each day at the Bossier Parish Resource Center, 3228 Barksdale Boulevard in Bossier City.

To pre-register for the next training course, call (318) 549-6770
