Today, let's look at all of the possible explanations as to what the Barksdale Bubble could actually be.

For years, I've rambled on and on about the Barksdale Bubble. I've certainly helped to spread my favorite Ark-La-Tex conspiracy theory, but when we get serious... What exactly is this phenomenon?

Personally, I don't believe it's an actual weather control device... Although there are many in town who do, including my Uber driver from this past weekend, who fully believes Barksdale has a device that manipulates the weather around the base.

Myself? Well, I think it has to be one of three things...

1. ALL THAT CONCRETE. Yes, believe it or not, this is a popular theory surrounding the bubble and its normal shenanigans. Simply put, people believe the mass amount of concrete manipulates the air and sky above it, often causing storms to dissipate in the vicinity of our neck of the woods.

2. NOTHING AT ALL. Sure, it's possible that the Barksdale Bubble phenomenon is nothing more than coincidence and faulty doppler radars. Maybe it's just a handful of coincidences witnessed by so many of us in the Ark-La-Tex, seen on radar as a monster storm approaches. Maybe it's just a coincidence that always most of the time, the storms seem to hit everyone but us. Although, that's a boring possibility.

3. BARKSDALE LITERALLY HAS A WEATHER CONTROL DEVICE. Sure, in my opinion, this is the least plausible explanation, but at the same time, this is one of America's greatest and most-protected Air Force Bases. Would it truly be surprising to know that they can control the weather?? I think not.
