Don’t Miss Out! Whataburger’s 75th Anniversary Means 75-Cent Burgers in Shreveport
A beloved burger chain is going to treat Shreveport foodies to a deal they can't ignore this August. Whataburger is celebrating its 75th birthday by offering burgers for cheap and limited edition cups. Find out when and how you can join in on celebrating one of Louisiana's favorite burger chains.
75-Cent Burgers and Commemorative Cups Galore
To celebrate 75 years of Whataburger in business, they're offering customers a classic Whataburger for only 75 cents on August 8th from 11 am to 8 pm, but only for users of the Whataburger app. The party isn't all about burgers for the white and orange brand's birthday.
There will also be new limited edition anniversary merch available through their website, including a long list of new commemorative Whataburger-themed cups. The merch won't launch on Whataburger day, but the first of the cups, a 32-ounce 75th anniversary design, will be available first on August 5th.
The next cup will be a silver striped anniversary design and will be released on August 12th, followed by a design inspired by Whataburger's classic A-frame restaurant buildings.
The Fine Print and a Hypothetical Feast
For Whataburger's 75-cent burger deal, the offer is only available once per rewards account, and the biggest bummer is that any add-ons will still cost you more. If you really wanted to put in the time and effort of creating enough fake rewards accounts, you might get enough burgers to solve world hunger on a budget.
In fact, we broke down the math on that. If a Whataburger costs $5.79 before tax, we can estimate that a 75-cent burger is 87% off, so if world hunger would cost $40 billion to solve for a year, then it would only cost $5.2 million worth of fake rewards accounts to end world hunger for a year.
