All Elite Wrestling (AEW) will be bringing live, nationally-televised, pro wrestling to the Shreveport/Bossier area for the first time in over 10 years. The last time we saw nationally-televised wrestling from our area, AEW didn't even exist.

AEW will be bringing their Collision program to Bossier City on Saturday, January 27th, 2024. This will take place at Brookshire Grocery Arena, and tickets are available here.

This is huge for a market that was the home of professional wrestling to a good chunk of fans in the United States for a decade. Of course we're bringing up Mid South Wrestling from the 1980s. That was a golden era for pro wrestling, and the promotion ran the majority of their shows in Shreveport, and filmed a lot of their content at local TV stations. It was Shreveport's promotion, and it ruled.

But now, this major wrestling market is in a little bit of a dry period when it comes to national pro wrestling. Sure, WWE has brought some live house shows to the market over the last few years, but nothing like a national TV show. This is a huge break for our community.

AEW is in a bit of a transition period. They're getting ready to say "goodbye" to one of their biggest names, while building up one of their greatest champions ever.

The legend, the icon Sting is preparing to officially retire from wrestling, and this Bossier City show might be one of his last appearances. While at the same time, MJF is rocking his first run at world champion, and building up his star power still.

So which AEW stars might we see in Bossier City? Here are some ideas:

Adam Copeland (FKA Edge)

MJF

Toni Storm

Christian Cage

Orange Cassidy

Adam Cole

Hangman Adam Page

Bullet Club

Andrade El Idolo

Chris Jericho

House of Black

Darby Allin

Eddie Kingston

The Hardys

Ricky Starks

The Young Bucks

Samoa Joe

Sting
