Willis-Knighton COVID-19 Patient Improves Enough to Leave ICU
The staff at Willis-Knighton Pierremont gave this patient a standing ovation throughout the halls.
During these times, we sadly don't have a lot of COVID-19 news that will put a smile on your face. Personally, I don't enjoy writing many Coronavirus-related stories because they are always something along the lines of, "Bad news getting worse". No one likes to be the bearer of bad news.
Today, however, I am thrilled to be writing this article to share this story and video with you all.
Late Thursday night, Willis Knighton shared this amazing video on their Facebook page. The caption tells the story, highlighting the hospital's first positive COVID-19 patient to improve enough to leave the ICU. The patient, identified as Sharon, has been on a ventilator since her positive test. She is now off of the ventilator and moved to a non-critical floor for further monitoring and recovery.
If this video doesn't put a smile on your face, I'm not sure what will!
