Zooey Deschanel Pregnant With First Child

Zooey Deschanel, the adorably quirky star of TV's "New Girl", announced Tuesday that she's expecting her first child with boyfriend Jacob Pechenik, who she's been dating since last year.

Which poses the question: How will this affect "New Girl"'s filming schedule? Well, it turns out that she's not showing yet, and there's only seven weeks of production left in this season, plus the actors will enjoy a four to five-month hiatus. The show's fifth season may be postponed until later, but Fox has made no official statement as of yet.

Deschanel was previously married to Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie from 2009 to 2012.
