E! News reports that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez split up a week ago. A source tells E!, "Because of their crazy schedules, it was getting harder and harder to maintain a relationship."

Rumors that the two had split reached a fever pitch Thursday night when Bieber was spotted seeing The Lion King on Broadway with a group of people that included 19-year-old Barbara Palvin, a Victoria's Secret model.

The couple went public with their romance back in February 2011 when they made an appearance at Vanity Fair's Oscar party together.
