Who DIDN'T see this coming?

Multiple sources tell E! News that Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger have decided to "take a break' after nearly five months of dating.

The trouble began when pictures of Schwarzenegger with a girl other than Miley surfaced in March, while he was on a Spring Break trip. He defended himself by tweeting, "Omg. It's one of my best friends girlfriend...Would NEVER do anything against my GF."

Things seemed to be going back to normal, with Cyrus and Schwarzenegger photographed enjoying lunch together, but speculation heated up when the two were each spotted minus their S.O.'s, including when Patrick was seen hanging out solo at the first weekend of the Coachella Music Festival. Observers say that he mostly kept to himself at the show, and there was no flirting to be seen.

In the meantime, Miley's been in the studio working on new material with close friend and collaborator Mike Will Made It.

"Put in wek @MikeWillMadeIt," she posted on social media. "If u lame that's a shame u can't hang w us…"
