Alchemy Geopolymer Solutions Wins 2014 Louisiana Startup Prize

The first ever Louisiana Startup Prize FINAL FINAL is in the books. This year's champion is Alchemy Geopolymer Solutions.

According to the Shreveport Times, Alchemy Geopolymer Solutions took home the grand prize in the first ever Louisiana Startup Prize FINAL FINAL, which took place this past weekend.

The business is taking home a slew of prizes worth $70,000. They took home $25,000 cash, $10,000 worth of accounting services from Heard, McElroy and Vestal, $10,000 worth of marketing services from Williams Creative Group, one free year of office space at American Tower (valued at $20,000), and a $5,000 corporate video to be put together by Fairfield Studios.

And, of course, the satisfaction of being the very first Louisiana Startup Prize winner.

As a part of the FINAL FINAL, all of the five finalists had an opportunity to present their businesses in front of various investors. Each of the five businesses, Patho RADAR, StopFlood Appliance Systems, Lynxus and SELN, in addition to Alchemy, received interest from at least one of the investors.
