Ark-La-Tex media legend Bob Griffin has passed away. He was 85.

Griffin is known across the region for his decades covering sports for KSLA and KTBS, hosting a local children's program, and hosting his radio segments and shows on 710 KEEL.

In addition to his sports coverage, Griffin regularly co-anchored news coverage, and did special reporting. He covered local sports legends like Terry Bradshaw and Robert Parish, and saw many teams come and go. Griffin covered the heights of Centenary Men's Basketball, and the lows of teams like the Shreveport Captains leaving. Griffin covered the Shreveport Mudbugs coming to town, leaving, and coming back.

Bob Griffin touched thousands of lives. Not just as a smiling, friendly face on TV, or a welcoming voice on the radio, but as a coffee drinking, story telling, all around great guy. Whether you knew Griffin for 5 mins, or 5 years, he treated you with the same level of dignity, respect, and a good chuckle.

Griffin passed away Monday, February 3rd, due to complications from a recent illness. Funeral arrangements are pending.
