Sen. Bill Cassidy Takes Action Against Antisemitism on College Campuses
Louisiana's Senator Bill Cassidy has his sights set on college campuses across America as he takes on perceived antisemitism.
Sen. Cassidy has started a new investigation into one student group alleged to have ties with a terror group, as well as reintroducing a bill that will make it easier for students to file complaints against their schools.
Parallel Protests From The Past
Across the country, college campuses have been flocked by protesters, which is reminiscent of the protests made on college campuses during the Vietnam War.
The key difference in today's protests is that it was the United States' actions in war that were being protested during Vietnam, today's protests are sparked by the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the constant armory support given to Israel by the United States.
While many claim to protest because innocent civilians are being caught in the crossfire as the Israel Defence Forces wipe out the Islamic terrorist organization Hamas, detractors claim many of these protestors are only motivated by support of the Islamic terror group or deep-rooted antisemitism and hate for the mostly Jewish country of Israel.
Bill Cassidy Launches Investigation Into American Muslims for Palestine
On Thursday morning, Bill Cassidy announced that the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee will be launching an investigation into the activist group American Muslims for Palestine.
The reason for the investigation comes from a report made by Dr. Jonoathan Schanzer, the Senior Vice President for Research at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. The report found that 8 members have an alleged tie to Hamas, these allegations claim these 8 activists had a hand in moving funds to Hamas or directly funding Hamas leaders.
