I am far from a "nerd" or a "geek". Why is this important? Well turns out you can enjoy an event like Geek's Con even if you don't classify yourself as a lover of all things geeky. Geek'd Con in 2018 was a game-changer for my outlook on the weekend event.

If you weren’t able to experience Geek’d Con 2018, you missed out! The Shreveport Convention center was full of people both in regular street clothes and dressed up in full-on cosplay attire. So many people lined up to meet some of their favorite childhood heroes and their favorite actors. Last year I met people from Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Dallas, Texas who all said their drive was totally worth it.

Last years lineup had Mick Foley, Chris Sarandon, Christopher Judge, John Wesley Shipp, Helen Slater, Erik Estrada, Mathew Wood, Dana Snyder, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Jonathan Lipnicki, Bryan Knobbs, and Tim J Smith. It's a list that I was convinced could not be topped.

This year Geek'd Con welcomes huge names like Michael Rooker who played Yondu in "Guardians of the Galaxy" and Merle Dixon on "The Walking Dead". Levar Burton from "Reading Rainbow" and "Star Trek" will be there as well. However, I am openly freaking out about Oscar and Stanley from "The Office" being there. Who are you most excited to meet?
