A grand opening party for RAW the studio has turned into a party for the whole community. Capturing Highland, Mardi Gras in September will have live music from local bands like Magnolia Mae an Indie Folk band and Old Whiskey Revival a Country/Americana band. The first 250 people that show up get a commemorative cup and a free drink. Capturing Highland kicks off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September, 28th. There will be big tents set up between Raw the Studio and Ki' Mexico 3839 Gilbert Dr, Shreveport, Louisiana.

Jo Claire Robertson a co-owner of Raw the Studio and the co-organizer of Capturing Highland said "We are excited to get the community together. We are just celebrating what Highland means to a lot of us. Good people, great food, wonderful drinks, and live music, centered around our favorite holiday, Mardi Gras." There will be over $5,000 worth of prizes given out during Capturing Highland, they're making sure you have a great time and leave with an awesome gift as well. The party is free to attend and Ki' Mexico will have drinks and food available for purchase.

We asked the co-founder of Capturing Highland if this is the first and only year we can celebrate Mardi Gras in September, "We hope we can bring it back next year, we love our community and why not celebrate it. We can't wait to Capture Highland with you Friday night." said Jo Claire Robertson.
