Celebrate Independence Day With A Refreshing Dip

July 4th will be filled with fireworks, barbecues, and, for the few that own or live near a pool, a nice cooling swim to knock the temperature down a few notches.

Luckily for Shreveport residents, Shreveport Parks And Recreation has decided to open up one of its city run pools on Independence Day to help families beat the heat.

The swimming pool at Southern Hills will be open from 1 PM to 6 PM on Monday, July 4th. All other City of Shreveport pools will be closed.

The cost is $2.50 for swimming and $3.50 for swimming and sliding. Contact Rock Solid for more information (318-779-1451).
