Before Community Renewal throws their October festival, they need your help gathering candy.

Community Renewal International has one goal, to make Shreveport-Bossier more neighborly. The organization is committed to connecting our community with one another and serving our underprivileged areas, all to ensure that every child feels safe and loved. On October 28 they will be hosting a festival called Lights Out of Darkness for the kiddos.

And they need candy.

Here's how you can help. Stop by Twisted Root in Shreveport on Line Avenue tonight (October 19) and donate candy. Make sure the candy is individually wrapped. You can donate anytime between 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. And you might as well stick around and have a delicious burger. Who can resist a Twisted Root burger?

The Young Professionals have signed on to help with this candy drive. You can mingle and make some valuable connections as well. The YoPros are a great group of young up and coming Shreveport-Bossier movers and shakers.
