Community Renewal Restructures Meetings to Foster Mentorships with Local Youth
You asked, CRI listened. Get ready for more interaction with the youth in our community.
Community Renewal International (CRI) does so much for our Shreveport-Bossier. The goal is to foster a neighborly feel across all parts of the community. In conjunction with the Young Professionals, this year has been a great success with a holiday party, ice skating event, field day and countless donations.
Now, it's time to take it up a notch.
Many of those involved with CRI were looking for more interaction with the youth they are helping. I've had a chance to hang out with some of the youth who are a part of the CRI Friendship Houses and these kids are so fun! I don't blame anyone for wanting more time with them.
But it goes beyond just showing them a good time.
If you're looking to make an impact on the life of a youth in our community and maybe even become a strong mentor for them, this is your chance. Next week, CRI will be hosting two Pros Night Outs.
The first will be on Wednesday, November 16 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Highland Friendship House, located at 402 Prospect Street in Shreveport. This event will be Middle School Night. Then on Thursday, November 17 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. you'll get a chance to spend time with the older students on High School Night at the Highland Friendship House. Each night will feature pizza and board games.
