Louisiana Congressman Mike Johnson is in quarantine, but tested negative for COVID-19 late Friday night.
Johnson tells KEEL News he was the only member of the House invited to attend last Saturday's White House Ceremony to hear the President announce his nomination of Amy Coney Barrett. Johnson tells me he tested negative at that White House event last Saturday.

But now several people who attended that event have tested positive, including President Trump and first lady Melania Trump.

I received a negative COVID-19 test tonight. Statement below:

Many of the people attending the event were not wearing masks during the outdoor ceremony. So far, 3 United States Senators who attended the event have tested positive. Johnson tells us no other Louisiana officials were at last Saturday's event. Senator Bill Cassidy has already recovered from COVID-19. Senator John Kennedy who serves on the Senate Judiciary Committee did not attend the event even though several committee members did show up for the Rose Garden event.

At least 3 White House reporters and several White House staffers have also tested positive.
