Sources report that the L.A. County District Attorney's Office will not press felony charges against Sean "Diddy" Combs in connection with his arrest last week for allegedly assaulting a UCLA football coach with a kettlebell while visiting his son, Justin.

He was later booked on charges of suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and released on bail.

Combs may be in the clear for now, but it's now up to the D.A.'s office whether or not to file misdemeanor charges against him.

Combs, through his lawyers, said he was acting in self-defense during his altercation with Sal Alosi, a strength and conditioning coach.

Bruins head coach Jim Mora issued a statement following the incident that said that they would let the investigation continue and withhold any further comment.

After his dad's arrest, Justin posted "Thanks for always being there for me," on his Instagram page, while Diddy posted a photo of the two of them with the hashtag, "#FamilyFirst."
