If you have a child who has been coughing over the last week, and you picked up some cough syrup - stop what you are doing and check the label right away.  According to a release from the FDA Kingston Pharma is recalling some DG™/health NATURALS baby Cough Syrup + Mucus” 2-fluid ounce bottles due to the potential that they are contaminated with Bacillus cereus/ Bacillus circulans.

According to the FDA's report, Bacillus cereus can cause serious cases of diarrhea and vomiting.  The product has been distributed nationwide at Dollar General stores, and is marked:  Lot KL180157 Expiration date 11/20 on the bottom of the carton and back of the bottle label; UPC Code 8 54954 00250 0.

If you have purchased the tainted medicine, stop using it right away.  You can return it to the store for a full refund, or call 1-844-724-7347 for more information about the recall.
