Back in 2015, Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con started in Downtown Shreveport. Not many people probably expected the event to still be going a decade later. But it's 2025, and Geek'd Con is coming back to the Shreveport Convention Center, August 22nd-24th.

This year's guest lineup already includes a 35th Anniversary "Shell-a-Bration" for the release of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. Including voice actors Brian Tochi (Leonardo), Robbie Rist (Michalangelo), and martial artists Ernie Reyes, Jr. (Donatello) and Kenn Scott (Raphael). The four Turtles actors will be joined by Francois Chau, who portrayed The Shredder in the TMNT film universe as well.

Now there's another bit of 90s nostalgia mixed into the lineup. As Kat Cressida will be joining the lineup for this year's Geek'd Con.

Don't recognize the name? Well, you can't mistake the voice.

Kat voiced the iconic 90s Cartoon Network character Dee Dee from Dexter's Laboratory. Including in the 1999 movie Ego Trip.

But honestly, that might not even be the thing she's most known for.

She's made her mark as the voice behind Constance Hatchaway, The Bride, from Walt Disney’s Haunted Mansion. She's voiced the role at the parks, and in various other mediums.

But her Disney cred doesn't stop there. She's voiced Jessie The Cowgirl for the Toy Story franchise...including video games, theme park attractions, shows, parades, and toys; Elektra in Marvel video games and theme park experiences; and also Princess Leia in various Star Wars video games.

You've also heard her in Fallout 4, Star Trek Online, Archer, Phineas and Ferb, Horizon: Forbidden West, and Diablo III among others.

But there's another place you've probably heard Kat, as she has been a primary announcer for ESPN (The NFL Draft, The Super Bowl) and FOX Sports/FS1 (FIFA World Cup, the MLB, and Men’s and Women’s Soccer). With ESPN, she's been THE voice of Pardon The Interruption.

There's a chance you've also seen Kat on-screen too. She's appeared as Kat The Bartender in Babylon 5, Brenda in in the superhero show M.A.N.T.I.S., and Darlene Farber in Murder She Wrote.

She’s featured in well known national ad campaigns including Kellogg’s, Apple, Smirnoff, McDonald’s, Red Bull, Toyota, Disney Parks Worldwide, BMW, Sony PlayStation, and more.

You can meet Kat, and all of the celebrity guests this year at Geek'd Con. It's happening August 22nd-24th at the Shreveport Convention Center.
