Senior dogs need love, too! Meet Geezer, he's at Pet Savers of Shreveport and despite his many health issues, he deserves to live out the rest of his life in comfort, surrounded by love.

As a dog mom to a senior doxie myself, this makes me so sad. When you take on a pet, you're committing to care for them for life. We don't know exactly why Geezer was found wandering the streets, but your guess is as good as mine.

If you have it in your heart to make this little guy's senior year(s) special, make an appointment to meet him at Pet Savers of Shreveport and fill out an adoption application today! Geezer's adoption fee is $100.

Here's what the Pet Savers website has to say about Geezer:

I am an old gentleman that was found in the middle of the street by good Samaritans. I am a senior, unfixed, and have quite a few health issues I can't deny. I have heartworms, lung issues, and a heart murmur. Pet Savers will most likely not fix me in my old age, but they would still like to find a home where I can live out my senior years in peace and comfort. I get along with the other small dogs, even the young ones jumping around don't bother me. I'm just glad to receive love and some treats. If you have room in your heart for a gentle old Dachshund, fill out an application today. I'll be waiting hopefully and patiently.

Bristol's Babies shines the spotlight on adoptable pets right here in northwest Louisiana and with your help, we hope to eventually find them all homes!
