‘GLOW’ Body-Slams Netflix Into Season 2 Renewal
Netflix renewals can be unpredictable, and it certainly raised eyebrows that Alison Brie’s GLOW wrestled through June and July without an official Season 2 announcement. Well, pass the glitter, as the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling will be back in action before long.
The announcement finally made its way to the ring over Twitter, and we’re told GLOW Season 2 will consist of the same ten-episode order as its predecessor. It isn’t entirely clear when Season 2 will premiere, though 2018 certainly seems the most likely target.
In addition to Alison Brie, the series also stars Betty Gilpin, Marc Maron, Britney Young, Ellen Wong, Sydelle Noel, Britt Baron, Jackie Tohn, Kimmy Gatewood, Rebekka Johnson, Kate Nash, Sunita Mani, Kia Stevens and Gayle Rankin. GLOW is inspired by the actual “Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling” league that emerged in the ‘80s. Jenji Kohan and fellow Orange Is the New Black vet Tara Herrmann serve as executive producers, with the prison dramedy’s Carly Mensch showrunning alongside Liz Flahive.
Check out all of GLOW Season 1 on Netflix, and stay tuned for updates on Season 2.
