Freddy Krueger’s Favorite Victim is Coming to Geek’d Con 2026

Shreveport’s premier pop culture event, Geek'd Con, is officially set to return to the Shreveport Convention Center this summer. The 11th installment of the massive three-day convention will take place in Downtown Shreveport from August 14th through the 16th, 2026.

The event serves as the largest gathering of its kind in North Louisiana, and one of the biggest in the whole state. Geek'd Con offers a weekend of celebrity appearances, professional photo ops, and a massive vendor market. It continues to be the primary destination for fans of film, television, and comic books to gather for a professional convention experience.

Meet "Nightmare on Elm Street" Stunt Legend William "Bill" Perry

Another classic horror staple, with legendary stuntman William "Bill" Perry will be joining the Geek'd Con 2026 lineup.

Bill is part golden era of '80s and '90s cinema, holding a unique and highly celebrated place in behind-the-scenes pop culture history. Horror fans revere him for the hits he's taken across multiple films in the "Nightmare on Elm Street" franchise.

Bill actually stepped in to take the fall and be killed by Freddy Krueger not once, but three times! His deaths appear in "Dream Warriors" (Part 3), "The Dream Master" (Part 4), and "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare" (Part 6)!

Bill Perry’s Stunt Career: "The Lost Boys," "Predator 2," and "Star Trek"

His incredible stunt and acting resume doesn't stop on Elm Street. Bill is fondly remembered for his work in the Wes Craven classic "The People Under the Stairs".

Bill has also doubled, and taken hits, in other massive genre favorites like "Elvira: Mistress of the Dark", "The Lost Boys", "Return of the Living Dead Part II" (where he actually played two parts: a stunt double and a zombie), and even stepped in front of the camera to play the Subway Gang Leader in Predator 2.

Beyond his legendary big-screen work, Bill also left his mark on television history. He traveled to the final frontier, serving as a stunt double for Wil Wheaton, and even working as a stunt coordinator, on the iconic series "Star Trek: The Next Generation"
