Today was a true treat, to say the least. I was joined in studio by LeVar Burton, and you can hear our conversation here!

Days like today remind me of why I love this job so much.

Today, I was given the opportunity to meet and interview one of my true childhood idols, LeVar Burton. Burton, of course, was the producer and host of Reading Rainbow on PBS for over twenty years! He literally taught an entire generation how to read and how to love reading.

Burton was also a star in Star Trek:The Next Generation, and hit 1977 mini-series Roots.

Meeting him was a moment I'll remember forever. He was one of the most genuine celebrities I've ever met. In our interview, we talked about Geek'd Con, Reading Rainbow expectations, OJ Simpson punching him right in the face, the Sacramento park named in his honor, and so much more.
