It’s Time to Get Excited for the Krewe of Highland Parade

Let's all agree, the Krewe of Highland parade is where the true party is at.

My one true regret in life if that I didn't know about the Highland Parade sooner. Yes, somehow I lived most of life under the assumption that there was only two main parades in town, but about four years ago I came across the wonderful event that is the Highland Parade.

This parade, in my opinion, is THE parade to attend. If I could only make it to one parade each year, Highland will win in my book every time. The route itself is easy to get in and out of, and the parade is lengthy but not too long.

The best part? You never know what you're gonna catch. If you take in the Highland Parade, you'll probably receive a handful of moonpies, Ramen Noodles, beads, hot dogs, and more. Last year, I literally caught a pig's foot. Yes, a packed, ready to eat pigs foot.

My point is the Highland Parade is this Sunday and you absolutely don't want to miss it.
