Jamie Kennedy Is Coming To Geek’d Con In Shreveport
Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, returns to the Shreveport Convention Center this August. The dates for the show are August 19-21, 2022.
There will be over 200 vendor spaces filled with comic book retailers, handmade crafts, shirts, collectibles, trading cards, vintage toys, artwork, and much more. Vendors from all over the US, and right here in Shreveport-Bossier, will be on-hand all weekend for fans to buy, sell, and trade.
But it's not just about shopping. There will be a ton of celebrity guests you can meet at the show as well.
The guests for 2022 already include Matthew Lillard, Skeet Ulrich, sci-fi megastar Natasha Henstridge, along with horror icon John Kassir, Twin Peaks star Sherilyn Fenn, and AEW stars Darby Allin, and Danhausen.
In addition to Scream stars Matthew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich, another Scream franchise star is now coming to Geek'd Con...Jamie Kennedy is now coming to Shreveport.
Kennedy is one of the stars of the Scream franchise, where he played Randy Meeks in multiple films. He had multiple iconic scenes with fellow Geek'd Con guests Matthew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich in the first film in the franchise.
In the original Scream film, Kennedy's character, Randy, is friends with Lillard's character Stu and Ulrich's Billy. Now, SPOILER ALERT, Billy and Stu are Ghostface, the killer in the movie. Randy seems to be the only person in the movie who even starts to figure it out at all, which is due to his encyclopedic knowledge of horror movies.
That horror movie knowledge leads to one of the best scenes in modern horror, and Kennedy's character lays down the list of horror movie rules.
In addition to Scream, Kennedy carried his own show, The Jamie Kennedy Experiment, starred in Malibu's Most Wanted, Ghost Whisperer, Son of the Mask, The Cleveland Show, Fanboy & Chum Chum, among others.
Kennedy is also an accomplished stand up comedian, with multiple specials and tours on his resume.
You can get your tickets to see Kennedy, Lillard, and Ulrich at Geek'd Con right here.
