Join Community Renewal International’s Young Professionals in Shreveport-Bossier for Happy Hour Tonight

Have a drink, mingle, and learn about the great things happening in our community.

Recently I learned about Community Renewal International and the Young Professionals in Shreveport-Bossier. The work that both groups do for Shreveport-Bossier is incredible. I found myself getting really pumped for what our community can be in the future. The goal is to foster relationships among our citizens. It's a neighborly approach to living in Shreveport-Bossier.

With this mentality the possibilities are endless.

Tonight, you can catch the fire that I have caught while enjoying a beer at Great Raft Brewing. It's the perfect combination of service and social. Spend some time with other young professionals and help raise money for Community Renewal's Young Professional 2016 project. This year they are looking to build a playground for the CRI Highland Friendship House youth. In addition, Great Raft is donating $1 from every pint sold to the 2016 project.

The event is come and go from 4 to 8 p.m. tonight.

If you can't make it, there are more events rapidly approaching, like a skating party on March 30 and a luncheon on April 13.

I am extremely excited for what this group is looking to accomplish. I believe that Shreveport-Bossier is on the verge of being something great. And the sooner we can all get on board with that mentality, the sooner we will realize those aspirations of a successful and thriving city. Mama always said to leave things better than you found them and we will all leave this place somehow, some day... So let's get to work!
