Lake Charles’ CyPhaCon Expands For 10th Year
Southwest Louisiana's premiere pop culture convention, CyPhaCon, is heading into their 10th anniversary in 2020. For their big anniversary, the show is expanding.
CyPhaCon will be going down April 3rd-5th, 2020 at the Lake Charles Convention Center. The expansion is planned for their programming, as well as floor layout. The who will be shifting into the Lake Charles Civic Center Coliseum. Earlier tonight, CyPhaCon posted online:
"For the past 10 years CyPhaCon prides itself listening to your suggestions and comments each year. Our goal for our 10th anniversary was to go bigger than ever before and now that is a reality!
Our fans have been patient with us and we hope to make 2020 the best yet. Now that we have all the pieces in place it's time to announce the expansion!
For our 2020 event we will be moving our Vendors, Artist, Celebrities, and select fan groups to the Lake Charles Civic Center Coliseum. Our first traditional trade show comic con setup will be a first for us but offers you our fans more shopping and a more centralized experience.
The expansion is not over yet! All panel rooms will now be located on the 2nd and 3rd floors along with CyPhaCafe', CyPhaKids and Fan Group tables!
The exhibition hall is also expanding to bring you more video gaming and board gaming events!
Our commitment to Southwest Louisiana and our community is still our number one goal. To bring you a one of a kind Pop Culture convention experience like now other. With this we are the largest Pop Culture convention in South Louisiana."
Last year, CyPhaCon featured appearances by the stars of Tron, Star Trek, My Hero Academia, Dragon Ball Z, and more. Previous CyPhaCon events have featured guests like Julian Glover, Sonny Strait, Chuck Huber, Tony Amendola, Monica Rial, Robert Axelrod, and many more.
